Washington D.C 2009

In August 2009 we decided to fly to our vacation destination because we were short on time.  It was my first time in Washington D.C. and I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about traveling to spend time in a big city.  My apprehension quickly went away as we spent our time riding the Metro and working our way around this amazing place.

Douglas - Hell's Half Acre

On our way to Yellowstone in July, 2007 we stopped at one of our favorite spots just outside of Douglas, Wyoming where there's a natural arch bridge and a great stream for wading.  This was our first trip with my new Canon Rebel XT and apparently while changing lenses at some point, I allowed a piece of dust to get on the mirror.  It took me two years to figure out the cause of the spot in all of my pictures and get it cleaned; a mistake I still regret.

The following shots were taken with my Rebel XT and a Tamron 28-200mm lens that I used with my EOS Elan from my film shooting days.
